going back to camp soon. This week’s major activities are learning to fire with a platoon and waterboat man training. haizzz… The test for Combat Service Badge (CSB) is in 2 weeks time.. criteria is pass all weapons handling tests, going thru 32km with river crossing, at least a silver in I.P.P.T., and also a 10km run within 65mins..

This is the 1st week of my new training location - ASLC and it has been more physically strained than i expected. 1st 2 days i am attending lectures on GPMG liao.. stripping it, learning how to deal with the IAs to rush for friday, the live firing..
I seriously am very tired man.. coz friday’s live firing is whole day.. woke up @ 5am, set out at 7am and the shoot last all the way til saturday 1am, by the time i march back to company line, it’s already 2am liao.. slept for a while, woke up @ 5am and prepared to go for claymore mine range and some other range which i forgot wat name and this lasted til 5pm.. -_-” booked out at 8.30pm.. all these meant that i have only about 4 hours of sleep between these 2 days.. why 4? coz during waiting time, on and off, you will fall asleep.. and also i included sleeping while route-marching to the range point.. lol.. this is a skill, i believe all must master man!
Haiz.. monday leh? there is a platoon live firing lasting day and night and then, tuesday i will go for my waterboat man training le.. yes its gonna be tiring yet again, but hopefully what i learnt will compliment the loss of rest ba.
It had been quite a while since i last had a drinking session.. while i did have 1 yesterday night.. watched soccer at georges’ pub there with kel, seb.. king joined in later.. at 1st we 3 juz ordered a barrel of heneiken nia.. but then as the time goes by, boredom came in, because arsenal 2nd half performance really bored people to death, a little disappointed especially their opponents are really not the same level as them.. so how leh.. ha.. picture show u the answer

Looks like i have to sing this SISPEC school song for another 13 weeks.. Suddenly i felt this school song had alot of meaning.. I’m being trained to lead my men i’ll have in future, being trained to rise up to fight for my country.. tough? yes, but not as tough as commandos and guards training..
I am still sure that i am placed in certain places during a specific period of time for a specific reason.. The only problem is am i patient enough to wait for the reason to unroll fully in front of me..
Just back from camp.. I went through 28km overnight route march successfully. Mind you, it isn’t easy ok.. i have to go through sessions after sessions of mental struggles of whether to fall out. In the end I made it through.
The whole march kicks off at 2145, with a simple ceremony in Kranji War Memorial, and we walked til about 0530 today.. totally shag out.. i also managed to learn how to sleep while walking. but unfortunately, my Staff found out while walking behind me,”oi, dun sleep ah! you last man must see properly.” lol.. reached company line at 0530, after warmdown, we sat down to wait for other companies, and i think within 5 secs, everyone fall into deep sleep.. the scene is like soldiers coming back from war, totally worn out.
After the march, i am presented with my CORPORAL rank by my Warrant Officer.. i think i was too tired to feel proud..
Haizz.. i know my posting also le.. i gonna stay in Pasir Laba Camp for the next 13 weeks, to get my SERGEANT rank.. but the veto factor is to pass S.O.C and I.P.P.T.. i have no problem with I.P.P.T but i do have slight problem in S.O.C.. i can’t get past the swing trainer.. urghhh…!!!
Anyway, my emotions from down changed for the better when i saw the name list of my new section mates. lol.. out of 12 people, 8 of them are from either Cougar company or Foxtrot Company.. heee.. no need to feel as if we are strangers in the section le.. ASLC is gonna be fun.. especially with erny and alvin.. haa haa..
